Digital Sales Specialist - Automation - Graduate 2024

The Programme

As a Digital Sales Specialist, you’ll become a trusted go-to expert for identifying and developing new opportunities for one of the portfolios: Automation.  
 
You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the Sales team – advising and supporting on client engagements throughout the critically important early phases of the sales cycle and helping to lead prospects to our award-winning cloud solutions.

To help ensure this win-win outcome, a ‘day-in-the life’ of this role may include, but not be limited to:

  • Understanding your prospective clients’ buying cycles to accurately predict the potential and timings of deal closures – clearly communicating your forecasts with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Supporting your squad of Business Development, Marketing and Technical colleagues to identify and create up- /cross-sell opportunities within your assigned territory. 
  • Co-creating and presenting on high-level, value propositions for clients – successfully landing product features, functionality, and solutions in a way that’s highly compelling.

A Sales Representative (Digital) role (what we internally call a ‘Digital Sales Specialist’) in IBM Cloud means a career where you’re leading prospective clients towards IBM Cloud Paks and Red Hat OpenShift products.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Possess Bachelor’s degree and have graduated from university no earlier than 2022. 
  • Preferably possess a technical degree i.e., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent subject. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills that are equally engaging, compelling, and influential.
