F&B Culinary Trainee

The Programme

To produce a consistent and high-quality product in the assigned Place of Work and provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service consistent with the Capella Ubud Standards Policies & Procedures in order to maximize guest satisfaction. 
 
The Role:

• To produce a consistent and high-quality product, provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Capella Ubud Standards of Performance. 
• To perform all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set. 
• To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotating within the different sub departments of the Kitchen Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned. 
• To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel. 
• To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times. 
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by Chef. 
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in chillers, and all storage area. 
• To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Hotel's policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.

Required Skills and Abilities

• An active student that enrolled in a college or University preferably in Hotel/Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts or equivalent program. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating strong guest relations. 
• Basic command in spoken and written English. 
• Great attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multitask and prioritize. 
• Possess a great communication skill. 
• Good conflict resolution skills with decision making and judgmental skills. 
• Flexible regarding work schedules. 
• Strong email etiquette. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
